Following a dramatic two month trial, the jury in the Brussels court last night convicted Mehdi Nemmouche of carrying out the Islamic State-linked firearms terrorist attack at the Jewish Museum in Brussels on 24 May 2014. The jury also convicted his accomplice, Nacer Bendrer, of supplying Nemmouche with the weapons used in the attack. Sentencing is expected on Monday, and Nemmouche faces a possible life term in jail.

Sky News is reporting about an alleged Islamic State terror threat against Jewish schools and kindergartens in Turkey. The story claims that this is an “active plot” that is “aimed specifically at Turkey’s Jewish community”.
CST has submitted evidence to the Foreign Affairs Committee inquiry into the fight against Islamic State in the Levant (ISIL), otherwise known as ISIS. CST is at the forefront in the fight against antisemitism, and this includes working with the government to support the Jewish community in matters of antisemitism, extremism and terrorism.
