As an outsider, looking in on an event that CST is securing, you might notice the one or two CST security volunteers on the door, checking names on the guest list and waving you in. You might have spotted an earpiece or an ID badge in passing, and you hopefully said thank you, before moving into the event and forgetting all about it. This is exactly what we at CST want. We want you to remember the event, rather than the security, because that means that we have done our job well, without fanfare and attention.

Just in time for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, the Labour Party has relented and finally decided to adopt the same basic definition of antisemitism as used by everybody else. To be more accurate, they have relented a bit: because they still feel the need to additionally say that it is okay to “criticise” Israel. (Of course the tachless is that the word “hate” is probably a lot more accurate than the word “criticise”.)

This Pesach, be proud and live the Jewish life you want. These are difficult times, with the terrorist threat and the overall political situation causing deep concern to British Jews. This time last year, in the face of ongoing political antisemitism, the Jewish community gathered together in Parliament Square, to declare that “enough is enough”.
