  • Raise Your Banners & Karl Dallas: You’re All ‘Zionists’ Now

    24 November 2011

Anti-Zionists usually deflect accusations of antisemitism by saying that they only criticise Zionists, not Jews. The ‘proof’ is usually provided by far left Jewish anti-Zionists: eagerly using their ‘Jewishness’ to all the better abuse the rest of the Jewish (ie ‘Zionist’) community, and the Jewish (ie ‘Zionist’) establishment in particular. Now, th…

  • When George schmoozed Gilad

    6 January 2015

This Saturday saw George Galloway MP and his wife Gayatri interview Israeli saxophonist Gilad Atzmon on their Russia Today TV show, 'Sputnik'. The significance of Galloway hosting Atzmon, a man whose views regarding Israel, Zionism and Jewish identity are so extreme that he is shunnedbymost of the anti-Israel movement in…

  • Gilad Atzmon: what you see is what you get

    15 November 2011

Gilad Atzmon is an ex-Israeli jazz musician whose new book, The Wandering Who? is quite probably the most antisemitic book published in this country in recent years. As a result of this book, Atzmon spoke last week at Exeter University, at a meeting organised by the Friends of Palestine society …

  • The Truth Will Set You Free - Jazz Redux

    12 December 2013

“The Truth Will Set You Free” is an old, very well worn refrain. Originally from the Gospel of John, it was popular in the 1990s within neo-Nazi Holocaust denial circles. Now, Truth has its latest Orwellian meaning. Who really perpetrated 9/11? Who really runs the world? W…

  • Palestine Telegraph and "Jewish power"

    17 June 2010

Palestine Telegraph has published an article by Gilad Atzmon in which he defends Helen Thomas's call for Israeli Jews to "go home to Poland, Germany, America and elsewhere." The website's editor, Sameh Habeeb, has previously denied allegations of antisemitism relating to comments he made to a Leeds student newspaper about…

  • Truth Movement - "Stupidest People on the Planet"??

    9 December 2013

A new self-defined  "Truth Movement" is trying to emerge from a recent "Seek Speak Spread Truth Conference" in Central London. Youtube footage shows a bizarre gathering of New Agers, antisemites and anti-Zionsts. It is hard to tell if such conspiracy-obsessives merit pity or outrage. Whatever, they hope…

  • Albion Beatnik: Holocaust Denial and antisemitism in your local indie bookshop

    27 February 2018

In Oxford, there’s an independent bookshop called Albion Beatnik. Albion Beatnik is happy to play host to people who they know are peddlers of Holocaust Denial, Jew hatred and other conspiracy theories. They have hosted such notorious figures as Gilad Atzmon and Nick Kollerstrom and sell David Irving’s books in their history section. When informed on Twitter that Gilad Atzmon was a well-known antisemite they doubled down on their support for him. As a point of fact, Atzmon promoted his latest book Being in Time (described by CST as “a profoundly antisemitic work”) there last June and several other times in 2017. Albion Beatnik also blogged about Atzmon’s book The Wandering Who in 2015. This is the book that was labelled by CST as being “quite probably the most antisemitic book published in this country in recent years.”

  • Is Gilad Atzmon a fascist?

    8 November 2017

Gilad Atzmon has published a new book and, like his last one, it is a profoundly antisemitic work; and it also carries heavy hints that Atzmon is more sympathetic to fascism than his fans on the radical left might appreciate.

  • From The Wandering Jew to The (new) Jewish Question

Gilad Atzmon is an ex-Israeli Jew. His latest book, “The Wandering Who?”, is potentially a key moment in the battle against contemporary antisemitism: forcing parts of the anti-Zionist left to finally confront the antisemitic dead-end that their over-heated fervour can lead to. The book is both old and new. I…
