CST Summer Lunch 2025

On Friday 20 June 2025 CST hosted a fundraising lunch with guest speaker and British historian, Simon Sebag Montefiore at a central London venue.

Simon spoke about how 7 October 2023 changed everything and marked the end of the golden age for British Jewry. He said that no one is going to fight for our community, and commented, “We have to recognise the golden era is over. There are so many ironies, who would imagine the institutions of international law that were set up after the Holocaust would be used against Jewish people and western democracies. Elements of Britain today are supporting that direction and I personally think we’ll never go back to the golden age we grew up in.”

CST’s Chairman, Sir Gerald Ronson and Chief Executive, Mark Gardner spoke about the work CST is doing and thanked our volunteers for their daily work keeping our Jewish community safe.
