CST hosts sell-out fundraiser with Mark Ronson and Jess Glynne in concert
16 June 2016
On Thursday night, Young CST hosted a sell-out event in London with chart-topper Jess Glynne and world-renowned music producer Mark Ronson. Over 180 guests attended the event, organised by the Young CST Committee, with a dinner followed by Jess Glynne performing a number of her well known hits and a DJ set from Mark Ronson.
Before starting her set, Jess Glynne thanked CST for hosting the night, and stressed the importance of protecting the Jewish community. Glynne also lamented the tragic shooting of singer Christina Grimmie, who was gunned down in Florida the night before the terror attack in Orlando. Jess, flanked by two backing singers and a DJ, performed hits including Rather Be, Real Love and Don’t Be So Hard on Yourself. For the final portion of the evening, Mark Ronson played a DJ set including hits he produced such as Uptown Funk with Bruno Mars. Ronson said that the aim of CST, to protect the Jewish community, is a cause close to his heart, and urged the audience to support CST’s work.
Thank you to all the guests who attended for supporting CST and to Jess Glynne and Mark Ronson for taking time out of their busy touring schedules to perform.
