11 November 2016

Last night at the Jewish Chronicle 175th Anniversary awards, CST’s Chief Executive David Delew received, on behalf of CST's volunteers, staff and trustees, an award for an outstanding, unique and long term contribution to British Communal life. David Delew responded to receiving the award:

“I thank the Jewish Chronicle for the award which I collected on behalf of all the CST volunteers, staff and trustees who are led by our outstanding Chairman, Gerald Ronson CBE, who has devoted his life to the protection of our community and so many other important causes."

Four awards were presented on the night, including to; Lord Levy, Nicola Mendelsohn and a long serving member of the Jewish Chronicle staff who has worked for the publication for over 50 years.

The awards were held to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the Jewish Chronicle, which is celebrating with a special anniversary edition of the print paper. David Delew wished the Jewish Chronicle success in the future:

“The JC has long been the respected voice of Anglo Jewry, admired world-wide for its accuracy and ability to penetrate the heart of communal issues. CST has had the pleasure of working closely with the JC since our inception, assisting with security matters when necessary, and discussing whatever the latest news is concerning physical and political threats to our community. We look forward to continuing our relationship and wish the JC every success for the future.”
